Brookfield historic places and memorial sites now featured on Village website

Brookfield has a number of memorial and historic sites -- from parks to artwork to jet aircraft -- scattered throughout the Village. While residents will recognize many of them, you may not know their histories.

Now there is a place on the Village's website where you can find out why there's a cannon in front of Brookfield's first train depot, why there's a 1950s era jet in Ehlert Park, why there's an exact replica of the famous Liberty Bell in Kiwanis Park, and more.

You can link directly to the History page by clicking here and then by clicking the "Village Memorial Sites and Historic Places" link under "Related Pages."

We'll add more places in the future. If you know of a place in Brookfield that would be a good addition to this list, let us know by emailing Management Analyst Bob Uphues at ruphues@brookfieldil.gov.
