The Planning and Zoning Commission was created to hear matters and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees concerning land use. Principally, these recommendations involve appeals of zoning interpretations and applications for variances from Chapter 62 (Zoning) of the Village’s Municipal Code.

Meetings are held at 7:00pm on the 4th Thursday of each month in the Edward Barcal Hall Board Room in Village Hall 8820 Brookfield Avenue, Brookfield, IL 60513. Members
The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of 7 members appointed by the Village President. Commissioners must reside in the Village of Brookfield. They are volunteers that serve staggered 5-year terms. Any resident interested in serving on the Commission should send a cover letter and resume to the Village President.
