Village Receives Regional Recognition for 125th Anniversary

The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry today honored the Village of Brookfield with a recognition ceremony and award to mark its 125th anniversary.  President Kit Ketchmark received the award on behalf of the Village, a handsome plaque presented by U.S. Representative Dan Lipinski and Chamber CEO Suzi Wirtz.  After the award presentation, President Ketchmark delivered remarks to the Chamber on Brookfield’s enduring history, history-making locations like Grossdale Station (the oldest building in the Village, and on the National Register of Historical Places) and its evolution as a community.
