The Planning and Zoning Commission was created to hear matters and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees concerning land use. Principally, these recommendations involve appeals of zoning interpretations and applications for variances from Chapter 62 (Zoning) of the Village’s Municipal Code.
The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of 7 appointed volunteers that live in the Village of Brookfield. Members have staggered 5-year terms. Any resident interested in serving on the Commission should send a cover letter and resume to the Village President.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on an as-needed basis, typically at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at Edward Barcal Hall, Village Hall. Please check the “Calendar” page of the Village website.
The monthly agenda is available on the “Meeting Packets” page of the Village website. The June 2018 PZC packet is available here: PZC Packet 6.28.18 v2 .
