Events for Fall/Winter 2018


Volunteer Fair: Saturday Sept. 15th 10am-12pm

We will be hosting more than 20 different community organizations who will be present in our board room of the Village Hall to provide you with information on all of the ways you can give back! Our volunteer fair is your one stop shop to numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the community. Whether you are looking for school service hours, community service hours or just a way to give back- our organizations have something for everyone!

 

 

 

 

 

Fairytale Wedding: Saturday Oct. 13th 4pm-5:30pm

This special event is a Fairytale Wedding Celebration just like you read about in storybooks! Our wedding will feature Prince Charming and Cinderella. Come dressed in your best princess attire as you watch the ceremony and afterward enjoy dancing, dessert, games and meet and greet opportunities! All child guests will receive a special wedding event souvenir. All attendees MUST PRE-REGISTER for this event, deadline is October 8th.

Cost: $12per child/ $6 per adult (over 18yrs)

Founders Day Celebration: Saturday November 3rd 12pm-3pm (FREE)

This event is a celebration of the Village of Brookfield’s 125th anniversary! Event will commence with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand re-opening of Grossdale Station which is on the National registrar of historic places. Event goers will get to tour the facility and enjoy live music. There will be a historic slideshow of photos and oral history recordings from our very own residents. Additional activities will be held at Village Hall. Light desserts and beverages will be served.

 

 

          Letters to Santa: FREE

Would you like your child to receive a unique letter from the big guy himself? Let us know if they are NAUGHTY or NICE and they will get their very own personalized letter from Santa Claus direct from the North Pole! Forms can be picked up and returned at the Parks and Recreation office OR by email request to sferrari@brookfieldil.gov

Only families who have completed the application and returned the form by the deadline (Nov. 30th) will receive a personalized mailed letter. Letters will be sent the week of Dec. 3

 

 

 

 

Brookfield Holiday Celebration: Saturday, December 1st, 2pm-7pm

Kick off the Holiday Season with your family, friends and neighbors at Brookfield’s annual Holiday Celebration, presented by the Village of Brookfield and the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.

The day will be filled with fun activities and entertainment for the entire family throughout the Brookfield Business District.
