The Parks and Recreation Department plans and implements general recreation and special events programs, facilitates the rental of parks and athletic field usage, and manages the recreation facilities and program offerings for the Village of Brookfield.
It is the mission of the department to provide a wide range of quality, recreational, and leisure programming and events for individuals of all ages, abilities, interests, and cultures; to create the maximum quality of life while ensuring fiscal responsibility and providing unexpected value.

Community Recreation Co-op Agencies
To help increase recreational program offerings to Brookfield residents, the Brookfield Recreation Department may enter into cooperative programming agreements with other surrounding communities.
This co-op allows residents to participate in more programs at resident rates. Co-oped programs can be identified by their location, listed under the program’s description.
For additional information on a co-oped program, please contact the host agency. Refund and cancellation policies are determined by the host agency.

The Brookfield Recreation Department is always looking for energetic, talented, and responsible persons to work as part-time program instructors. Do you have a special skill or talent that could be taught as a program through the Department? If so, stop by our Recreation Office for more information.
Parks and Recreation Commission
Provides resident input to the Village Board and the Recreation Department on park issues and programming needs. The public is welcome to attend meetings held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Brookfield Municipal Building at 6:30 pm.
