Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
As mandated by Village Ordinance and State Statutes, the Village is required to annually issue a report on its financial position and activity presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) of the United States of America and audited by an independent certified public accountant in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
The most recent Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is available here for anyone who wishes to gain a better understand of the financial operations of the Village of Brookfield.
The Village of Brookfield has four Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts to encourage economic development. It is required that financial information for these areas be reported to the Illinois Comptroller’s Office at the end of each fiscal year. The 2020 annual reports for all TIF Districts are available for download.
