Census 2020

Help Make Sure Brookfield Counts!

The U.S. Census Bureau has begun the process for the 2020 Decennial Census. In early March, homes in Brookfield and across the country received their invitations to respond to the 2020 Census. These official Census Bureau mailings included detailed information and a Census ID for completing the Census online, Click Here to View a Sample Invitation. If you did not receive an invitation please follow these instructions to Respond Without a Census ID.

For the first time, you can choose to complete the census online, by phone or by mail. The Census is only 12 questions and takes no more than ten minutes to complete. To complete your census online, you can simply go to https://my2020census.gov/. To complete the census by phone, you can call the Census Bureau at 844-330-2020 for English, or go to this link to find your preferred language phone number: https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond/responding-by-phone.html.

Of course, you can also complete the mail invitation which is being sent to your homes now and can return your questionnaires with the provided envelope or, if you lose your envelope, you can send to U.S. Census Bureau National Processing Center, 100 Logistics Avenue, Jeffersonville, IN 47144. Instructions on how to complete the Census Paper Questionnaire can be found here: Guide to Completing the Paper Questionnaire.
