Your Local Government: Boards & Commissions: Zoning Board of Appeals

Brookfield Quick Links

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) was created to hear matters and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees concerning appeals of zoning interpretations and applications for variances from Chapter 30 (Zoning) of the Village’s Municipal Code.

The ZBA consists of 7 appointed volunteers that live in the Village of Brookfield.  Members have staggered 5-year terms.  Any resident interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals should send a cover letter and resume to the Village President.

Want to know more about what expenses the Village of Brookfield has every week? The Village Board of Trustees approves a "Warrant List" that contains every expenditure of the Village at every meeting of the Board of Trustees. This list is always available to anyone who wishes to review it as part of the weekly Board of Trustees Packet. CLICK HERE to review the expenses of the Village by opening the Board of Trustees .pdf packet and clicking on the bookmark for WARRANT LIST.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on an as-needed basis at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursdays of each month at Edward Barcal Hall, Village Hall.
